Full‑time Faculty – Digital Journalism, PR & Film Production

About the role

Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication is looking for a dynamic, full‑time faculty member to teach and research in Digital Journalism, Public Relations, Film Production and Film Studies. The position involves delivering lectures, supervising student projects and contributing to the university’s academic reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the specified media disciplines and publish research in Scopus/WoS/ABDC indexed journals.
• Undertake research and outreach projects in collaboration with national and international organisations.
• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops and seminars that inspire critical thinking.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students on their creative and academic work.
• Participate in student recruitment, placements, academic administration and departmental activities.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of teaching or industry experience (10 years for senior faculty).
• Established record of publishing in Scopus/WoS/ABDC journals.
• Post‑graduation in the related areas with either academic or industry experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
