French Tutor (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

Ostello is seeking a part‑time remote French Tutor to deliver live, interactive language lessons on its real‑time learning platform. You will help students improve speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills while fostering an engaging and inclusive online classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver live French lessons tailored to various proficiency levels.
• Provide personalized tutoring sessions and real‑time feedback using Ostello’s platform tools.
• Assess student progress, give constructive feedback, and answer questions instantly.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Ostello team to refine course content and enhance the overall student experience.

Required profile

• Strong French teaching and tutoring abilities with clear, concise explanations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners online.
• Experience with online tutoring, live virtual sessions, and educational technology.
• Near‑native or native fluency in French and a solid command of English.
• Prior experience teaching French to school, college, adult, or exam‑focused learners (e.g., DELF/DALF, TEF) is a plus.
• Ability to plan lessons, manage time, and work independently in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet connection, quiet workspace, and suitable audio/video equipment.
• Relevant academic background in French language, literature, education, or a related field preferred.
