French Teacher (Cambridge & ICSE) – Full-time

About the role

Hopetown Girls' School is seeking a passionate French Teacher to deliver the Cambridge and ICSE curricula to students from Classes VI to XII. This full‑time, on‑site position involves creating an engaging learning environment that develops linguistic proficiency and cultural appreciation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver French lessons aligned with Cambridge and ICSE standards.
• Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and offer additional support or tutoring as needed.
• Foster an inclusive, culturally enriching classroom atmosphere.
• Promote awareness and appreciation of French language and culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school events.

Required profile

• Experience teaching French within the Cambridge and/or ICSE curriculum.
• Strong lesson‑planning, classroom‑management, and student‑assessment abilities.
• Capability to support diverse learning needs with effective academic guidance.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in French, Education, or a related discipline (teaching certification or equivalent preferred).

Required skills
