Freight Brokerage Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized Freight Brokerage Specialist to support our freight brokerage operations. The role involves coordinating shipments, communicating with customers and transportation partners, tracking loads, and ensuring efficient movement from origin to destination.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily shipment and load activities from pickup through delivery.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor shipment status, identify potential delays, and proactively resolve exceptions.
• Maintain accurate shipment data in TMS and tracking tools.
• Support load planning, carrier coordination, and shipment scheduling.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues such as missed appointments and documentation gaps.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and performance trackers.
• Follow SOPs, escalation procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent typing speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple parties simultaneously and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑focused approach with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and tracking tools.
