Forward Deployed Engineer – Real-time Voice AI

About the role

Cartesia is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed voice AI solutions directly into enterprise customers’ production environments, turning core technology into high‑impact, real‑time multimodal intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Write and ship production‑grade code for voice AI systems that power enterprise workflows.
• Own end‑to‑end deployments, from discovery and architecture to rollout for strategic customers.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements and evolving constraints to keep projects moving forward.
• Deploy solutions across cloud, VPC and on‑prem environments while meeting security, networking and compliance standards.
• Diagnose and resolve integration failures, performance bottlenecks and deployment issues under real‑world constraints.
• Identify new use cases, prototype solutions and turn them into repeatable playbooks, templates and reference architectures.

Required profile

• 4+ years building and operating production software systems.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals with a track record of reliable systems.
• Experience integrating APIs and distributed services in real‑world infrastructure.
• Comfort operating in cloud and containerized environments (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work through ambiguous problems and drive them to resolution.
• Clear, structured communicator comfortable engaging senior technical stakeholders.
