Forex Cashier – Delhi

About the role

Sberbank India is seeking an experienced Forex Cashier to manage cash and vault operations in its Delhi office. The role involves handling foreign currency transactions, ensuring compliance with RBI/FEMA regulations, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day cashier and foreign exchange transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash receipts, payments, counting, balancing and daily reconciliation.
• Execute buying and selling of major currencies (USD, EUR, AED) at approved rates.
• Verify customer details, transaction information and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash and foreign‑currency movements and prepare operational reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to KYC/AML, RBI/FEMA and internal compliance requirements.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, suspicious activities, cash shortages or excesses.
• Support internal and external audits with complete transaction documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of cashier experience, preferably in banking, NBFC, money‑exchange or financial services.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on foreign‑currency handling (USD, EUR, AED).
• Strong numerical, reconciliation and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic banking/financial systems.
