Food & Beverage Ambassador

About the role

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Ambassador to join the pre‑opening team at Fairmont Udaipur Palace. The role involves welcoming guests, delivering high‑quality service, and ensuring a memorable dining experience in our restaurants, lounges and banquet areas.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, creating a positive first impression.
• Present menus, explain items and specials, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate orders and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas and service stations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests and resolve concerns promptly.
• Promote hotel dining outlets, special promotions and upsell food and beverage items.
• Handle guest billing accurately using POS systems.
• Assist with table set‑up and clearing before and after service, especially during busy periods.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Service (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, resort or hospitality service; fresh graduates from recognized institutes are also considered.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Well‑groomed appearance and professional etiquette.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.
• Understanding of food and beverage service procedures and hygiene standards.
