About the role

The company is seeking a skilled Fitter to handle mechanical activities within a chemical production environment. The role involves assembling, installing, and fitting equipment while ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical components, machinery and equipment.
• Adjust, align and calibrate equipment to meet performance specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical tools, providing repair solutions.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks.
• Perform mechanical fitting and mechanical seal fitting.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and schedule necessary repairs.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments.

Required profile

• ITI qualification in the fitter trade or an equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role within the chemical industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols.
• Strong physical dexterity and ability to work under stressful conditions.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
