Fireman – Fire & Safety Operations

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Fireman to join our Fire & Safety team, providing immediate response to fire and emergency situations across client sites in India. The role involves fire prevention, emergency handling, compliance, and training to ensure a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine fire safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Check and maintain fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, sprinklers, alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms, operate firefighting equipment, and evacuate personnel safely.
• Provide first‑aid, support paramedical teams, and assist civil authorities during incidents.
• Maintain incident logs, inspection records, and ensure compliance with local fire safety norms and the National Building Code.
• Organise and participate in fire drills, evacuation exercises, and safety training for on‑site staff.
• Inspect fire equipment daily, coordinate maintenance of fire panels, pumps, and water tanks.

Required profile

• Minimum 10th pass with a Diploma or Certificate in Fire Safety or Industrial Firefighting.
• 2‑5 years of experience in industrial, commercial or institutional firefighting (freshers with formal training considered).
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of fire detection and suppression systems.
• Use of fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, foam equipment and breathing apparatus.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Knowledge of National Building Code (NBC) fire regulations.
