About the role
The Fire Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of people and property by patrolling designated areas, detecting fire hazards, and enforcing safety guidelines. This role requires quick decision‑making during alarms and the ability to coordinate with management for corrective actions.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned zones to identify fires, vandalism, suspicious activity, and safety hazards.
- Investigate and report hazards or unusual circumstances to management for follow‑up.
- Respond to alarms and dispatched calls, determine appropriate actions based on the situation.
- Prepare written incident reports using the correct forms and submit them to a supervisor.
- Maintain security‑related documentation and records in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide training for security staff.
- Activate and deactivate CCTV cameras, manage access ID controls, and oversee electronic security systems.
- Organize and conduct mock drills to test emergency response readiness.
Required profile
- Graduate, preferably holding a diploma in security, fire fighting, and first aid.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire safety, security, or a related field.
