Fire Safety Officer

About the role

The Fire Safety Officer will lead fire safety initiatives for a Hilton hotel, working closely with the Safety & Security Manager to ensure compliance, preparedness, and continuous improvement of fire protection measures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fire and safety procedures, including CCTV operation standards.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all fire system equipment.
• Organise and deliver fire prevention, evacuation, and equipment training for all hotel staff.
• Collaborate with Engineering to standardise fire system operations and inspections.
• Prepare inspection standards and conduct regular audits of fire systems and equipment.
• Maintain fire and safety filing systems in line with local regulations.
• Analyse fire incident data to recommend system improvements.
• Lead volunteer fire team drills and emergency response simulations.
• Handle emergency incidents and report promptly to senior safety managers.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of hotel fire safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to train and motivate staff across all hotel departments.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
