Fire Safety Deputy Manager

About the role

The Fire Safety Deputy Manager will lead design and audit activities for fire protection and detection systems across brown‑field projects in India. Reporting to senior management, the role combines technical engineering, compliance auditing and on‑site coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Design and detail engineering of fire protection and detection systems for brownfield projects.
• Conduct fire safety audits, risk assessments, fire load calculations and adequacy assessments for industrial, commercial and building installations.
• Prepare functional assessments of installed life‑safety systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers, fire engineers and HSE consultants to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Utilise AutoCAD and hydraulic analysis software for system layout and performance studies.
• Work with specialized fire‑protection software such as Pipenet, KY Pipe, Elite, Canute and Sprinkcal.

Required profile

• B‑Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Engineering or Civil.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in fire safety design, auditing or risk assessment.
• Experience in brownfield project environments.
