Fire Executive – CHO Steady State

About the role

The Fire Executive – CHO Steady State is responsible for controlling fire station operations and ensuring the availability of emergency vehicles and equipment. The role supports incident command, fire‑fighting activities, and continuous improvement of fire‑safety processes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow fire‑safety policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Execute incident command and control techniques during emergencies and actively participate in fire‑fighting and rescue operations.
• Investigate fire incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM) of firefighting equipment and systems.
• Track and manage the availability and reliability of firefighting vehicles, equipment, and communication systems.
• Lead emergency response activities, including daily fire drills.
• Ensure compliance with fire‑safety standards, procedures, and checklists.
• Maintain log books, occurrence records, and shift documentation to meet compliance requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (science stream preferred) and fireman certification.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in fire‑safety operations.
• Proficiency in fire‑safety management, practical firemanship, and heavy‑vehicle driving.
• Ability to operate firefighting equipment, consumables, systems, and fire‑vehicle pumps.
