Assistant Security Executive – Aviation

About the role

The Assistant Security Executive – Aviation will oversee access control, property protection and maritime security for both on‑shore and offshore zones. The role requires coordination of manpower, monitoring of traffic, and rapid response to security incidents in a high‑risk aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage access control for personnel, material, information and vehicles across on‑shore and offshore areas, ensuring proper logging of entries and exits.
• Deploy and supervise security personnel at static posts, offshore anchorage zones and critical infrastructure such as control rooms and berths.
• Monitor traffic violations, maintain situational awareness, and act on alarms from the Security Control Room or Port Operation Centre.
• Identify and protect critical infrastructure, implementing appropriate security measures and handling deviations from standard procedures.
• Conduct daily briefings for shift supervisors and guards, and validate system effectiveness through special checks.

Required profile

• Graduate (any discipline) with an Army Graduate or NCC "B" certificate; NCC "C" certificate and legal knowledge (LLB/Criminal, Industrial Relations, Labour law) are desirable.
• 10–20 years of service in Armed Forces, Paramilitary or Police; 0–3 years of security function experience is a plus.
• Experience with security automation, marine security operations and knowledge of ISPS/Port Security protocols.

Required skills

• Operation of security automation systems and console monitoring.
• Marine security procedures and offshore asset protection.
• Small‑arms handling and possession of a valid weapon licence.
• Knowledge of ISPS/Port Security and Maritime Facility Security courses.
• Understanding of security documentation, processes and topographical layout of facilities.
