Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Financial Controller with 5–10 years of relevant experience to join our finance team in Delhi. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee controllership across 16 legal entities, ensuring accurate monthly reporting, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off monthly management accounts for the Group and all entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors throughout the statutory audit cycle and resolve audit queries.
• Oversee balance‑sheet substantiation, including AR/AP, provisions, accruals, risk reserves and intercompany positions.
• Manage technical accounting matters such as ESOP valuation, capitalisation, amortisation policy and revenue recognition.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls within the finance function.
• Review annual corporate income tax filings, GST/VAT returns and TDS/WHT submissions for all entities.
• Own the group’s transfer pricing framework, including benchmarking studies and documentation.
• Prepare MAS regulatory reports and liaise on finance‑related queries.
• Sign off corporate secretary documentation and support governance, AGM preparation and statutory filings.
• Provide financial insights, variance analysis and performance tracking to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, compliance or audit, preferably from a Big Four firm or fintech/tech environment.
• Strong understanding of Indian tax regulations, GST/VAT, and international accounting standards.
• Experience handling multi‑entity consolidations and group‑level controllership.
• Proven ability to work with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
