Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will ensure smooth financial operations and act as a key liaison with bankers, vendors, and internal teams. This role oversees bookkeeping, accounting, payment processing, and supports overall finance and operations functions.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, maintain billing systems, and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Generate accurate revenue invoices, record revenue, and monitor receivables.
• Reconcile bank statements, handle fund transfers, loan activities, and bank queries.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, including provision and closing entries.
• Calculate and file GST returns, manage TDS, PT, ESI, PF, and GSTR3B compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, provide documentation, and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain organized document archives for contracts, agreements, and financial records.
• Prepare monthly cash‑flow statements, monitor liquidity, and produce budget vs. actual analyses.
• Analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and full‑cycle accounting.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and payment processing.
• Experience supporting audit processes and implementing control improvements.
• Strong analytical skills for cash‑flow management and budget variance analysis.
