Financial Controller (Intercompany)

About the role

The Intercompany (ICO) Controller will manage end‑to‑end intercompany accounting and reconciliation within a Shared Service Centre. You will ensure accurate recording, timely matching and full compliance with group policies while supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the intercompany accounting process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to Group policy.
• Calculate, book and document intercompany recharges, including cross‑entity services, shared costs and management fees.
• Match and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across counterpart entities, resolving mismatches with Controllership and BPO partners.
• Maintain a robust control framework with proper documentation, approvals and audit trails.
• Collaborate with Group Finance, Treasury, Tax and Regional Controllers to achieve a smooth month‑end close.
• Support tax reporting, profitability reviews, journal entries, eliminations and year‑end processes.
• Prepare and review intercompany balance reconciliations, ensuring timely clearance or explanation.
• Lead or support process‑improvement and automation initiatives for intercompany activities.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, MBA Finance) or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of accounting or controllership experience with strong exposure to intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, transfer‑pricing concepts and group reporting principles.
• Experience working in a Shared Service or multinational environment managing cross‑entity relationships.
• Excellent organizational, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• SAP (or other major ERP systems) – especially intercompany modules.
• Intercompany reconciliation tools such as ARCS or BlackLine.
