Financial Controller – CA (First Attempt)

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, controls, and compliance for a fast‑growing automotive manufacturing business. The role works closely with operations and business leaders to embed financial discipline as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and MIS reporting.
• Ensure statutory compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST and other regulations.
• Standardise accounting policies under Ind AS and maintain internal financial controls.
• Lead statutory, internal and tax audits end‑to‑end.
• Manage costing, inventory valuation and plant‑level financial controls.
• Oversee treasury, working‑capital management and cash‑flow planning.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, variance analysis and business reviews.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing finance and controllership team.
• Support fundraising, investor reporting and due‑diligence activities.
• Drive automation and process improvement across finance operations.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with a first‑attempt clear result – mandatory.
• 10‑17 years of post‑qualification experience, predominantly in controllership or finance leadership.
• Significant experience in an automobile OEM or automotive manufacturing environment (two‑, three‑, commercial or passenger vehicles).
• Proven hands‑on expertise in manufacturing costing, Ind AS and statutory/tax compliance.
• Independent management of statutory and internal audits.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑scaling, high‑growth setting.
