Financial Controller – Aerospace Startup

About the role

We are looking for a high‑ownership Finance Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing aerospace startup in Bangalore. You will build the company’s books from scratch, ensure audit‑ready financial hygiene, and support rapid scaling through precise cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain audit‑ready books of accounts with robust internal controls.
• Provide real‑time liquidity visibility, manage burn rates, optimise working capital and deliver accurate cash‑flow forecasts for long‑cycle manufacturing.
• Implement project‑based costing for aerospace components, oversee WIP valuation and inventory controls.
• Handle end‑to‑end GST, TDS, statutory audits and filings, including refunds for inverted duty structures.
• Manage compliance for iDEX grants, Startup India benefits and export/import documentation.
• Act as primary contact for financial due diligence during series funding, grants and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with the CEO and founding team to align financial strategy with market conditions and growth plans.

Required profile

• Qualified CFA, Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or MBA Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with startups or global operations.
• Proven track record in building financial systems and managing complex cash‑flows.
• Strategic vision to think globally while ensuring local compliance.
