Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to oversee both our online marketplace and offline retail accounting for a fashion brand. The role involves managing end‑to‑end financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting audit activities. You will work closely with sales, operations and vendor teams to maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• E‑commerce accounting: handle accounting and reconciliation for marketplaces such as Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and Tata CLiQ.
• Website & retail accounting: manage sales accounting for the company’s own website and physical stores.
• GST & compliance: file GST returns, TDS and ensure overall tax compliance.
• Reconciliation: perform daily/weekly reconciliation of marketplace payouts, COD, returns and chargebacks.
• Books of accounts: maintain ledgers, MIS reports, profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
• Vendor payments: process vendor invoices, payments and statements.
• Audit support: coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in fashion, e‑commerce or retail.
• Education: M.Com or CA Inter preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with marketplace seller portals and settlement processes.
• Strong understanding of GST, e‑way bills and e‑commerce taxation.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage both online and offline accounting.
