Finance Plant Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Plant Controller to lead the finance function at our manufacturing site. The role will be a key member of the management team, driving cost understanding, profitability and financial performance while partnering closely with operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities including fixed‑asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, period reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Implement and monitor internal finance controls, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley regulations and external audit requirements.
• Provide timely financial analysis, variance reporting and mitigation options to leadership before period close.
• Assess financial implications of capital investments (ROI, IRR, payback) and support engineering in cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Analyze and report key operational and accounting metrics, presenting plant financial performance in various forums.
• Spend regular time on the production floor to integrate with the plant team and understand operational drivers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant or manufacturing finance, preferably in a controller or senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance and external audit processes.
• Ability to deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting under tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capability to evaluate capital projects and drive cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Willingness to work closely with operations and spend time on the shop floor.
