Finance Manager

About the role

MKX, a Dubai‑based licensed virtual‑asset broker‑dealer, is expanding its finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting, reporting and regulatory compliance for both fiat and crypto operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, month‑end close, journal entries and overall bookkeeping across fiat and crypto.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, wallets, exchange balances and client funds with zero tolerance for gaps.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, cash‑flow and MIS reports for the CFO, board and stakeholders.
• Support VARA financial reporting, audits and regulatory filings in collaboration with compliance and external auditors.
• Monitor treasury, cash and stablecoin positions and assist with liquidity and working‑capital management.
• Design and maintain internal financial controls, policies and processes as the business scales.
• Coordinate with operations, compliance and external accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in financial services, fintech, exchange or crypto.
• CA, ACCA or CPA qualification (or part‑qualified with strong practical experience) is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliations and reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Xero.
• Familiarity with crypto wallet and exchange balance reconciliation.
