Finance Controller – Plant Operations (Ahmedabad)

About the role

The Plant Finance Controller will oversee all finance activities at the manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and support budgeting for plant operations while collaborating closely with production, purchasing, and store teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly plant P&L, cost reports, and variance analysis.
• Support the factory’s monthly closing process, ensuring proper accounting of expenses and provisions.
• Monitor production costs, material consumption, and cost of goods manufactured (COGM) reporting.
• Coordinate cost validation and provision entries with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Plant teams.
• Assist in the preparation of balance‑sheet schedules related to plant operations.
• Support budgeting, cost estimation, and track cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide plant‑level data for internal and statutory audits.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable for plant transactions and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Participate in plant review meetings, delivering financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA or CA.
• 10+ years of finance management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
