Finance Controller Manager – Plant Finance

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a Finance Controller Manager to lead budgeting, reporting, and cost‑control activities for its plant in Gangtok, Sikkim. You will work closely with the plant Cluster Head and corporate finance teams to ensure accurate financial statements and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate department‑wide expenses onto a common platform and review each expense head.
• Manage depreciation linking Op Net block, Capex, CWIP with budgeted depreciation.
• Perform variance analysis against prior‑year actuals and validate cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure monthly expense reporting aligns with quarterly trial balances and close books by the 4th of the following month.
• Prepare monthly actuals in Z2B format and detail account‑wise expenses.
• Report plant performance metrics such as yields, usage, and cost per unit.
• Analyze Plant EBT using Anaplan and provide inputs for cost audits.
• Review GL entries, Capex proposals, pay‑back periods, and track Capex installations.
• Monitor slow‑moving inventory, out‑of‑specification batches, WIP ageing, and work‑order closures.
• Support SOP compliance and corporate guidelines at the plant level.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance, CA, or CMA.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
