Field Service Engineer – North India

About the role

Varian Medical Systems is looking for a Field Service Engineer to support our oncology equipment customers across North India. The role focuses on ensuring that VMS medical devices operate efficiently through troubleshooting, repairs, installations, upgrades and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair VMS equipment within the assigned territory.
• Perform preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades according to VMS guidelines.
• Manage a service schedule, prioritize incoming calls and assess urgency of customer requests.
• Escalate complex incidents and request assistance from senior representatives when needed.
• Maintain accurate field service reports and required documentation.
• Develop and sustain strong customer relationships through clear written and verbal communication.
• Ensure compliance with vendor‑credentialing requirements for site access.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and maintain full client‑site access and meet all vendor‑credentialing requirements.
• Strong professional communication skills with customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work independently in a field environment.
• Willingness to travel throughout the North India service territory.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical documentation and service manuals.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of complex medical equipment.
