Field Service Engineer – North India

About the role

Varian Medical Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support oncology equipment across North India. The role involves troubleshooting, repair, installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of VMS medical devices, ensuring optimal performance for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair VMS equipment within the assigned service territory.
• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades according to VMS guidelines.
• Manage a schedule that includes routine maintenance, installations, upgrades, and urgent customer calls.
• Assess urgency of requests, follow through to completion, and escalate incidents when necessary.
• Complete and submit field service reports and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through effective written and verbal communication.
• Ensure compliance with vendor‑credentialing requirements for full client site access.

Required profile

• Solid technical background with a thorough understanding of documentation, standards, and field techniques.
• Experience with complex, multi‑site, multi‑vendor medical equipment.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a field environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across North India and meet credentialing requirements.
