F&B Steward

About the role

The Food & Beverage Steward ensures that kitchen and service areas remain clean, hygienic, and well‑organized. Working closely with chefs and service staff, the steward supports daily operations by maintaining sanitation standards for all utensils, equipment, and workspaces.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, glasses, and cutlery.
• Operate dishwashing machines and manage cleaning supplies.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, storage rooms, and service areas.
• Assist chefs and service staff during busy periods.
• Store and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Support receipt and storage of kitchen supplies.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials and utensils.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 + year of experience in hospitality or restaurant operations.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
