Faculty Position in Product, Furniture, Interior & UX‑UI Design

About the role

Amity School of Design is seeking experienced academics to join its faculty in the areas of Product Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design and UX‑UI. The position is open for the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, and will involve teaching, research and industry collaboration at the Noida campus.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the listed design disciplines.
• Supervise student projects, theses and dissertations.
• Develop and update curriculum in line with emerging design trends.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish findings in Scopus‑indexed journals.
• Engage with industry partners for collaborative projects, internships and consultancy.
• Participate in departmental and university committees.

Required profile

• Ph.D. (or Ph.D. thesis submitted) in Interior Design, Product Design or a related field – preferred.
• M.Des, M.Tech or equivalent postgraduate degree from a recognised Indian or international institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Product Design or a related discipline.
• Strong research record with publications in indexed journals.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience is an advantage.
• Industry experience in design fields is welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
