Factory Scheduling Engineer – Semiconductor Fab

About the role

Tata Electronics is seeking a Factory Scheduling Engineer to optimise production in its 300mm silicon fab. The role focuses on developing advanced scheduling solutions, digital‑twin models and real‑time factory dashboards to improve throughput, cycle time and overall equipment effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain fab scheduling tools using platforms such as Inficon Scheduler or IBM scheduling solutions.
• Enhance factory dashboard applications for live KPI monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify bottlenecks, manage work‑in‑process and drive cycle‑time reductions.
• Analyse manufacturing KPIs (OEE, utilisation, yield, cycle time) and propose data‑driven improvements.
• Provide technical support for fab automation and scheduling systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor fab scheduling or similar high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a KPI‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Inficon Scheduler or equivalent commercial scheduling platform.
• IBM scheduling tools or comparable solutions.
• Digital twin modelling for manufacturing processes.
• Factory dashboard development for real‑time KPI visualization.
• Understanding of fab automation systems and semiconductor production workflows.
