Executive (Transport Operations)

About the role

The Executive (Transport Operations) will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance and performance of PTCL's transport network elements across the region. You will be responsible for maintaining high network availability, monitoring infrastructure and coordinating fault‑resolution activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain network availability of optical‑fiber media through proactive measures.
• Manage and resolve critical issues/faults in Long Haul and Metro networks.
• Oversee quality of transmission infrastructure operations, including alarm monitoring and NOC ticket rectification.
• Localise, rectify, replace or convert faulty equipment.
• Plan and implement contingency plans for network diversions, traffic routing and disaster recovery.
• Improve network restoration times and handle complex fault scenarios.

Required profile

• B.E./B.S. in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in transport network operations.
• Strong technical competency in transport network concepts and fault management.
