Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper will lead the housekeeping team at Sayaji Hotel’s Rajkot property, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a hands‑on approach to supervising daily operations, coordinating with other departments and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily duties to housekeeping staff and monitor their performance.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, lobbies and other public areas for cleanliness and quality.
• Manage linen inventory, cleaning supplies and equipment stock.
• Coordinate with front office and maintenance teams to resolve guest requests and property issues promptly.
• Train, mentor and motivate housekeeping personnel, fostering a culture of professionalism and attention to detail.
• Implement and enforce hygiene, safety and sanitation protocols in line with hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation related to housekeeping activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising or managing housekeeping operations in hotels or similar hospitality settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple tasks and inspections.
• Prior experience in hotel operations within India, especially Gujarat, is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or certification in hospitality management, housekeeping or hotel operations preferred.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for record‑keeping, inventory management and internal communication.
