Executive – Engineering & Maintenance

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an Executive for Engineering & Maintenance to lead general maintenance activities across its R&D and utility facilities in Baroda. The role involves ensuring reliable operation of critical plant equipment, managing inventories, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all types of general maintenance work across the site.
• Manage inventory of engineering materials and process material indenting for maintenance activities.
• Maintain and operate utility equipment including boilers, chillers, water systems, nitrogen plants, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, air blowers, and vacuum pumps.
• Prepare, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain log‑books.
• Conduct audit‑related tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and user departments for various maintenance projects.
• Record raw data as per SOPs and handle shift duties for continuous plant operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance or utility operations.

Required skills

• General maintenance techniques.
• Inventory management for engineering supplies.
• Operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, nitrogen plants, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, air blowers, and vacuum pumps.
• SOP preparation and compliance.
• Log‑book management and audit support.
