Executive - Engineering (Filling and Packing)

About the role

The Executive – Engineering (Filling and Packing) is responsible for delivering low‑cost, highly efficient and reliable operation of Nestlé’s filling and packing lines. The role ensures optimal asset utilisation, compliance with safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute routine, periodic and CIP/shutdown maintenance to guarantee line availability.
• Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that balances preventive work with spare‑parts inventory management.
• Lead compliance activities, including safety, hygiene, HACCP, FSMS and GMP audits.
• Coach technicians and operators on preventive maintenance, CDM integration and equipment handling.
• Analyse line performance using AMM and NEE tools, manage the maintenance budget and drive energy‑efficiency standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance of filling and packing equipment in a food‑production environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (HACCP, GMP) and safety‑health‑environment practices.
• Ability to mentor teams, communicate effectively and manage cross‑functional projects.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance and CIP/shutdown planning.
• Spare‑parts inventory management.
• CDM (Condition‑Based Maintenance) integration.
• Use of AMM and NEE systems for performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of HACCP, FSMS and GMP standards.
• Problem‑solving techniques such as GSTD, BDA and DMAIC.
• Project management for equipment installation and upgrades.
• Operation of primary packing machines (horizontal flow wrappers, vertical form‑fill‑seal, can/jar fillers) and secondary packing systems (auto case packers, COBOT/robotic pick‑and‑place).
• Experience with coding equipment (Contact, Inkjet, Laser coders from vendors like Domino, Imaje, Videojet).
