Events Manager – Social & Banquet Operations

About the role

The Events Manager will lead the planning, coordination and execution of banquet and event operations at Fairmont Mumbai. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences across luxury weddings, social celebrations, corporate meetings, conferences, exhibitions and high‑profile gatherings while upholding Fairmont brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full event lifecycle from initial inquiry through post‑event follow‑up.
• Coordinate and execute large‑scale banquets, weddings, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and social events.
• Conduct client meetings, site inspections and detailed event planning sessions.
• Prepare event orders and ensure accurate communication across Banquet Operations, Culinary, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering and Front Office teams.
• Monitor event setup, décor, audiovisual requirements, seating plans and guest flow to guarantee seamless execution.
• Drive banquet and catering revenue through strategic planning, upselling and identification of new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients and social hosts, acting as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, coordinating and executing banquet and event operations.
• Ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously while maintaining operational excellence.
• Strong client relationship management skills, especially with wedding planners and corporate organizers.
