Estimation Engineer

About the role

Kool Home Builders is seeking an Estimation Engineer to join its team in Kochi. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the tendering process for civil and structural works, primarily related to electrical substation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, pricing schedules and cost summaries for tender submissions.
• Analyse tender drawings, specifications and scope to identify cost drivers, risks and assumptions.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from tender and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and manual methods.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, issue RFIs and evaluate quotations.
• Support cost control, budget tracking, cash‑flow planning and variation management.
• Review tender and contract documents to flag commercial risks and support negotiations.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical and project teams to ensure cost alignment with design intent.
• Prepare cost reports, tender comparison statements and maintain organized documentation.

Required profile

• BTech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimation or quantity surveying.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural works, especially for electrical substation projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and support multiple project teams.
