Engineering Manager - Test Automation

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Test Automation efforts for mission‑critical Vault applications. This hands‑on position combines technical delivery with people management for a remote‑distributed engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of test‑automation projects.
• Drive operational excellence for Veeva’s Hyderabad site.
• Manage a team of 5‑10 engineers, overseeing hiring, onboarding and performance.
• Act as the single point of contact for QA management across Veeva’s global offices.
• Support engineering sprints, including planning and grooming activities.
• Define and track KPIs that measure team and project success.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing test‑automation engineers and 9+ years overall in software engineering.
• Hands‑on technical leader with strong communication skills.
• Proven experience with Agile and Scrum processes, including Scrum‑master responsibilities.
• Track record of creating, documenting and refining software engineering processes.
• Ability to work with distributed teams and deliver quality outcomes.
