Engineer Rolling Stock (K4) – Mumbai Metro Projects

About the role

SYSTRA is looking for an experienced Engineer – Rolling Stock (K4) to join the General Consultant team for Mumbai Metro Lines 5, 7A and 9. The role involves supporting system works, design reviews and detailed project reporting for these high‑profile urban rail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in design review and preparation of detailed project reports for Metro Line 5, 7A and 9.
• Support the General Consultant in system‑works coordination across the corridor projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure rolling‑stock solutions meet regulatory and technical standards.
• Provide technical expertise on rolling‑stock equipment, power supply and traction systems.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience in railway or metro rolling‑stock projects.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong leadership and troubleshooting capabilities, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
