Engineer II - Software Development

About the role

Accelya is seeking an Engineer II to independently design, develop, and deliver software features for its airline‑focused platform. You will build scalable, well‑tested services that support more than 200 airline customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement clean, maintainable code for new features and services.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI, and Claude to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Lead technical analysis, estimation, and peer code reviews for assigned workstreams.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams on roadmap decisions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and DevOps best practices.
• Produce technical design documentation using generative AI tools.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑grade solutions in an Agile environment.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Understanding of distributed system design.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
• Hands‑on use of AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI, Claude, ChatGPT).
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud‑native architectures.
