Engineer II, Maintenance

About the role

Gates is seeking an Engineer II – Maintenance to join its Fluid Power plant in Lalru, India. The role focuses on delivering maintenance excellence through preventive and predictive programs, supporting energy‑saving initiatives and continuous improvement across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Implement action plans and manage preventive and predictive maintenance according to defined schedules.
• Follow LOTO procedures and ensure safe execution of all maintenance activities.
• Identify and correct potential equipment failures, communicating issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in daily breakdown calls and document maintenance concerns, resolutions, and status reports.
• Drive energy‑savings projects and support GPS and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste and provide documented evidence of savings.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve maintenance excellence.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to support energy‑efficiency and sustainability targets.
