Employment Lawyer

About the role

The Employment Lawyer will ensure proper implementation of branch and company agreements, collective regulations, and local labour law across the Bangalore area. The role serves as the primary legal advisor for HR Business Partners, safeguarding compliance and fostering constructive social dialogue.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to all applicable labour laws, covering collective bargaining and individual employment matters.
• Act as the dedicated focal point for HR Business Partners to resolve employee concerns efficiently.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate major labour‑law risks to protect the organization.
• Design, define, and implement internal policies that comply with current legislation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of labour regulations and communicate changes to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and share detailed compliance reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with external compliance partners on licences, regulatory amendments, and official notices.
• Receive, assess, and coordinate investigations of alerts and reports, conduct impartial case investigations, and present findings to disciplinary committees.
• Communicate investigation outcomes to involved parties while ensuring confidentiality.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Indian labour law and collective bargaining agreements.
• Proven experience in legal compliance, risk management, and policy development.
• Strong investigative skills with the ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
