Embedded Data Scientist – AI Platform

About the role

Embedded Data Scientists transform complex client data into structures that AI systems can reliably reason over. Working alongside Strategic Deployment Engineers at client sites, you will design semantic structures for heterogeneous, multimodal datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client data landscapes across documents, imagery, audio, geospatial data, and structured records.
• Design domain ontologies, document segmentation, and chunking strategies that preserve semantic meaning.
• Define indexing, embedding, and linking approaches for multimodal datasets.
• Collaborate with engineers to build operational data ingestion pipelines and evaluate AI system performance.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or large‑scale data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑world, messy, unstructured data and building rigorous schemas or ontologies.
• Ability to work autonomously in client environments, including constrained or air‑gapped settings.

Required skills

• Python (pandas, NumPy)
• Modern NLP/LLM tooling
• Machine‑learning fundamentals and model evaluation
• Design of data schemas, metadata frameworks, and knowledge graphs
• Experience with vector search and retrieval pipelines
