Electrical QA/QC Manager – Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and control activities on a major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) project in Gabon. The role covers the full project lifecycle from engineering through commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Electrical QA/QC Management System.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and quality procedures.
• Monitor electrical construction to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications and standards.
• Lead QA/QC engineers, inspectors and third‑party inspection agencies.
• Conduct inspections of generators, turbines, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, HV/MV/LV distribution, protection, earthing and lightning systems.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, pre‑commissioning and commissioning quality activities.
• Maintain complete documentation, traceability and quality records.
• Manage NCRs, corrective and preventive actions and support client or regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of Electrical QA/QC experience in power generation or EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior QA/QC managerial role.
• Proven experience on CCPP, CCGT or large gas‑fired power plants.
• Experience on international projects, preferably in Africa or the Middle East.

Required skills

• IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA and ISO 9001 standards.
• Electrical testing, commissioning and performance validation.
• Generators, gas turbine electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs.
• HV, MV and LV distribution, protection & control, earthing and lightning protection.
• Instrumentation & control interfaces, cable laying, termination and testing.
