Electrical Maintenance Trainee

About the role

This position is designed for recent graduates or freshers who want to start a career in electrical maintenance. You will work alongside experienced engineers to learn the practical aspects of maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment. The role offers hands‑on exposure to a variety of high‑ and low‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Support maintenance of motors, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, PCCs, and control panels.
• Monitor electrical parameters and report any abnormalities.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and restoration activities.
• Support operation and maintenance of HT/LT systems.
• Participate in equipment inspections, safety audits, and housekeeping activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams during maintenance activities.
• Learn and follow company SOPs, safety practices, and operational guidelines.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Familiarity with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and Power Control Centers (PCC).
• Experience with control panels and HT/LT systems.
• Ability to monitor electrical parameters.
• Electrical troubleshooting and fault restoration.
• Equipment inspection and safety audit participation.
• Maintenance record keeping and reporting.
