Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

About the role

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will ensure reliable operation of the plant’s electrical systems, reduce overtime, and support trouble‑free production. The role is based at Bunge’s Rajpura facility and reports to the Assistant Manager (Electrical).

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and productive maintenance on panels, DG sets, and other industrial electrical equipment according to ARROP and BGSMS schedules.
• Handle emergency DG operation and synchronize SEB supply with TG supply.
• Conduct routine inspections, safety checks, and fault finding on high‑voltage (66 kV, 11 kV) grids and associated equipment.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot VFDs, soft starters, TICs, and instrumentation devices.
• Prepare and wire DOL, Delta/Star starters, interlocking circuits, and read SLDs for control circuit diagnostics.

Required profile

• ITI qualification in Electrical trade.
• 6–8 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Hands‑on knowledge of 66 kV and 11 kV grid maintenance.
• Familiarity with VCB, ACB, MCCB, SFU, DG sets, and TG synchronization.

Required skills

• Maintenance of high‑voltage (66 kV, 11 kV) systems
• Installation and commissioning of VFDs and soft starters
• Fault diagnosis and rectification at technician level
• Installation of TIC and basic instrumentation
• Panel wiring, DOL and Delta/Star starter configuration
• Reading and interpreting single‑line diagrams (SLD)
• Design of interlocking circuits
• Electrical lighting, fan, and DG set operation
