Electrical Engineer – Design & ELV Systems

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of electrical and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems across a range of building services. The role requires a hands‑on approach, from feasibility studies to detailed design, ensuring compliance with local codes and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with the team.
• Collaborate with WSP India to develop design specifications and monitor progress.
• Execute detailed designs for lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, BMS, Wi‑Fi, telecom and other ELV systems.
• Perform complex calculations, load assessments, and sizing of electrical panels and capital equipment.
• Produce IFC drawings, schedules, datasheets, schematics and P&ID.
• Coordinate project documentation, respond to client queries and support construction delivery.
• Lead the design process, promote cost‑effective solutions and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong technical terminology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
• High self‑motivation and cultural awareness.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
• Expertise in electrical and ELV systems concept design and space planning.
• Strong knowledge of BS, HK and ME codes.
• Electrical load calculations and preparation of technical submittals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
