Electrical Engineer – Mid-Level (Power Generation)

About the role

WSP India is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to contribute to power generation and renewable energy projects across the United States. The role involves delivering engineering design, calculations, and system upgrades while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support design of power generation and renewable energy projects.
• Lead and support upgrades of power plant and switchyard electrical systems.
• Lead and support federal electrical system upgrades.
• Mentor and teach junior engineers.
• Develop project proposals and budgets.
• Make responsible decisions regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 3+ years of detailed electrical design experience, including calculations and equipment specifications.
• 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design experience.
• Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Ability to work schedules beyond the typical workweek and occasional travel.
• Commitment to workplace safety and WSP’s health, safety, and harassment policies.
