Electrical Designer – Distribution Solutions

About the role

ABB is looking for a Designer to join its Electrification business within the Distribution Solutions division in Nashik, India. You will create and modify standard designs for equipment, systems, and installations, ensuring they meet contract specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design assignments that comply with contractual, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain Bill of Materials to meet project gross‑margin targets and avoid leftover material.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and testing teams to ensure designs are built, staged, and tested correctly, updating as‑built deliverables.
• Use standard processes and tools, and contribute to the development of new reusable technical solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and verification activities, adjusting designs as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in relay configuration, relay testing, and control & relay panel engineering.
• Strong understanding of customer requirements and protection system concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with ABB PCM 600 software is a plus.
