Drug Safety Scientist – Pharmacovigilance Operations

About the role

The Drug Safety Scientist will join Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D vertical, supporting pharmacovigilance operations for leading biopharma clients. You will ensure the safety of pharmaceutical products by managing adverse event data and complying with global regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, processing, submission and follow‑up for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the safety database.
• Collect, analyse and interpret safety data from clinical trials, healthcare providers and patients.
• Ensure compliance with client guidelines and applicable global regulatory requirements.
• Perform complex problem‑solving and data analysis to support drug safety decisions.
• Collaborate with Accenture peers, client teams and management, potentially working in rotational shifts.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy degrees.
• 5–8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety surveillance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead small work efforts or teams.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts as needed.
