Drug Safety Scientist (Pharmacovigilance)

About the role
Accenture is seeking a Drug Safety Scientist to join its Life Sciences R&D vertical. The role focuses on pharmacovigilance operations, ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products through rigorous data collection, analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, enter, and code adverse event cases using MedDRA terminology.
- Process Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the safety database according to client guidelines and global regulations.
- Perform case follow‑ups, submissions, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with internal Accenture teams and, when required, with client stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of pharmacovigilance processes and tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy degree.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety surveillance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and moderate guidance on new assignments.
