Drug Safety Scientist

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Drug Safety Scientist to join its Life Sciences R&D vertical. You will support pharmacovigilance operations, ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products and compliance with global regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow‑up for individual case safety reports (ICSRs) in the safety database.
• Collect, analyse and interpret safety data from clinical trials, healthcare providers and patients.
• Monitor adverse events, evaluate risk, and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with internal peers, clients and Accenture management, providing analysis and solutions to complex safety issues.
• Potentially work in rotational shifts and oversee small work efforts or teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy degrees.
• 5–8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety surveillance or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
